Our bees forage primary on wild flowers, clovers, and alfalfa. This produces a very light and flavourful honey. Our bees reside on our farm quarter and have food sources on our land which helps to reduce the need for them to travel for food sources. We do treat our hives against varroa mites when necessary to maintain hive health.
This honey was from the 2020 season, extracted in the fall using a hand-cranked extractor as well as gravity extraction and strained.
