A whole beef is priced based on the hanging weight of the beef (weight of beef with head/hair/feet/tail/blood/organs removed). A whole beef on average is 227 kg/500 lb hanging weight which is approximately 136 kg/300 lb of take home meat.
Price is $13.20/kg ($6/lb) on the hanging weight.
Note: custom cuts can be requested, sausages are an additional cost.
A common question we are asked is how big a freezer do I need to fit that all in? Here is an approximate size of freezer required for a whole beef: Approximately 20 cubic foot chest freezer (roughly 6 ft. long).
