A half beef is priced based on the hanging weight of the beef (weight of beef with head/hair/feet/tail/blood/organs removed). A half beef on average 113 kg/250 lb hanging weight which is approx. 68 kg/150 lb of take home meat. Price is $13.20/kg ($6/lb) on the hanging weight. Note: custom cuts can be requested, sausages are an additional cost.
Remainder of payment will be due at time of pickup/deliver - based on weight of the actual beef you are receiving.
A common question we are asked is how big a freezer do I need to fit that all in? Here is an approximate size of freezer required for a half beef: Approximately 10 cubic foot chest freezer (roughly 4 ft. long).
